Supporting people with Lupus
in the Grampian Region
Welcome to the Grampian Lupus website.
Welcome to the Grampian Lupus Group. This group has been running for over 30 years and was set up with the purpose of helping to support people who live with Lupus within the Grampian Area.
Grampian has a small group who usually meet up to 3-4 times a year at the Aberdeen Northern Hotel for socialising, lunch and a chat by one our many Doctors from NHS Grampian. This gives members the opportunity to meet with fellow sufferers and an environment to meet with Doctors on an informal basis to discuss any issues they may have.
We issue a quarterly newsletter to all our members providing information on Lupus, the Grampian Lupus Group events calendar and any luncheon date coming up.
Our national charity – LUPUS UK – is the only charity in the UK supporting people with Lupus and Discoid Lupus. Lupus UK also produces an informative national magazine with lupus articles, letters, report and photographs. They operative a strong Grant Programme for research purposes and welfare.
Coffee Morning
With the help of Julie Shotton, we have decided to set up some
informal Get Together’s during the week.
Our first will be on Wednesday 23rd May at the Osteoporosis
Research Unit, First Floor, Victoria Pavilion, Woolmanhill Hospital,
Aberdeen between 1:00 and 2:00pm.
Julie advises parking is easier within
the hospital quadrangle at this time. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served
and hopefully a few of you will manage to come along and support the
group and meet some new faces as well. Julie and Angela will both be there
to share a cuppa with you.
